Digital Collection
As part of the New Narratives Project we have been and continue to be working with librarians at Simon Fraser University to develop a new open access digital collection that will serve as a repository of digital versions of the works of early modern women not already available through other sources, such Early English Books Online (EEBO), Eighteenth Century Collections Online (ECCO), Gallica (through the Bibliotheque Nationale de France), and ensuring that they are archived in accordance with best practices. Included will be digital images of manuscript material, transcriptions of texts (these texts will need to be transcribed, so the collection will grow slowly), as well as other similar materials. We also envision the collection including a range of digital pedagogical tools, including work produced by students, like the New Narratives podcasts. If you have been working on a transcription, and would be interested in including it in the collection, please do get in touch.
The works presented at Querelle.ca, a project of New Narratives co-leader Marguerite Deslauriers, will also be part of the Digital Collection.
